Hurrican Shane

Thank God for radio, because without it I’m not qualified for any profession that doesn’t require a hair net or stylish paper hat. I started my career in Southwest Florida, doing overnights in Ft Myers, Florida at WHEW FM 102, The Country Giant. It was at this time that I realized I despised country music, and fought like a cat cornered in a Chinese restaurant to get out of that particular format. Rock/Rock Alternative is my thing, and always will be. First rock job was at WRXK 96 K Rock in Ft Myers, doing fill ins, weekends, and basically being available for anything that was needed. Worked up and down the central part of our country, from as far north as Minneapolis (KQ 92, my dream station I grew up with... what a let down that was) to south Florida, where the sunshine tax will keep you fit and trim (can’t afford to eat). Been in Birmingham since Feb of ’96, its been pretty good to me.

Favorite Movie... still has to be the Godfathers I and II.

Favorite Television shows... Family Guy, South Park, Flavor of Love (Flavaa Flaaaaaaaave...) anything with William Shatner, he is a God.

Personal life... single again after a long marriage, two great kids. Birmingham is a great place to be single if you like fat chicks, which I don’t, so damn. Pass the jager...

Hobbies... gym rat, don’t wanna fall into a fat trap, as Goldmember would say, keep it tiiight... as soon as I get my house fixed up and sold, will turn myself into a biker. Got the ride picked out, already there in my mind.

Future... you’re listening to it... once you can stream stations in your car, terrestrial radio will be in biiiig trouble. Climb aboard or sink in the tar with the rest of the dinosaurs.
